And note some of the negative responses, which at least show what we're up against. Horrifyingly, even some supposed "liberals" are attacking Aliaa Elmahdy.

It is individuals such as Aliaa Magda Elmahdy (and the support she has gotten around the world) who give me grounds for optimism about the future. She is willing to run great risks to oppose repression, and, thanks to the Internet, the oppressors will be unable to keep like-minded people from knowing about her.
