Happy birthday, dear Metamagician and the Hellfire Club

This blog is one year old this week - in fact, today (I just checked).

Well, I've got a great blueberry bread recipe which was passed down to me by my hippie ancestors. It's always been a good way to enrich a special occasion.

2 eggs
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups applesauce
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup blueberries

Grease and flour two loaf plans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix eggs, oil, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and applesauce. Add flour and wheat germ and mix well. Fold in blueberries. Pour batter into pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

The self-rising part is important, since this particular bread is fairly thick and cake-ish. Adding baking powder to general-purpose flour should work as well. Also, I've started using raspberries and strawberries in addition to the blue kind, and the audiences have been pleased.

Congratulations on surviving your first year on the Blagnet!

Party crashing again! Since I can't bake a cake and squeeze it through the tubes, I'll just post this (which I'm sure you've seen before), but it is no less apt:
You're part of it.

Happy Bloganniversary!
