Blackford on Leiva

Neworld Review republishes my post on Steven Paul Leiva's Traveling in Space. Here if you missed it the first time.

  1. I do wish people wouldn't change it to "sci-fi" when I write "sf", though. I guess I'll just have to get used to it, as "sci-fi" seems to have won out in the war of memes. *Sigh.* Fie!

  2. Damn editors! The review WAS sent to Neworld with sf not sci-fi, but some editor changed it and I did not notice until I read your comment, Russell.

Editors seem the most prone to using clichés and herd words and mundane usage. Curse them, I say, curse them to the hell I don't believe in (except for any editor named Blackford, of course!).

But the good news is, your incisive and much appreciated review has gotten more pageviews that any other review in this month's issue. So many thanks again.
