Chatting with God

For those who haven't already seen this at Pharyngula or elsewhere, try chatting with God. He's rather evasive, I'm afraid. I asked him about some of you - you can guess who you are - but got no sensible reply.

  1. Me: Can Russell Blackford finish his PhD?

God: Can a book have no title?

  2. I'm moderately surprised that Scott LaFee's article "Darwin in the digital age: Have culture and technology replaced natural selection?" (San Diego Union-Tribune, 22 February 2007) does not include the term "transhumanism", even though it brings in Nick Bostrom as a talking head. Nothing startlingly new, but probably worth skimming anyhow.

  3. Thankfully it's at least possible for a book to have no title. Otherwise I'd be in trouble here.

  4. God is a perv. He wanted to know my age and when I told him 24, he wanted to know what I was wearing. He seemed insulted when I asked him if English was his first language. He kept doing , . a lot. ??

  5. Me: Why did you make a pass at Holly?

God: Myself programmed me for it.

  6. It looks like you've stumbled upon a novel resolution of the "first cause" problem!

    10 What caused the Universe?

    20 God.

    30 What caused God?

    40 GOTO 20
