She's Magneto's daughter, after all. (Though I do also have some affection for the Kooky Quartet of Avengers of Cap, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver.)Russell Blackfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12431324430596809958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-10994313136963795582012-05-13T03:40:53.084+10:002012-05-13T03:40:53.084+10:00My vote's for Ms. Marvel, too.

Unless the Studio revises Wanda's back-story considerably, I don't expect she or Quicksilver will make an appearance in the franchise.godsbelownoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-51581184242980530822012-05-13T03:17:23.469+10:002012-05-13T03:17:23.469+10:00Johansson's comments are very salient (and yes...Johansson's comments are very salient (and yes, again, one of the good things about The Avengers was the portrayal of The Black Widow as a strong, sexy, ass-kicking superheroine who was not overly sexualised

Really? If the lone woman in the image were sensibly posed, I'd have no complaints other than the gender ratio (and perhaps the form-fitting spandex & leather outfit). I don't have an issue with tight or sexy clothing (I like them, in fact) but, as you say, one would think that superheroing (especially as a relatively non-super hero) would require especially practical attire.

I like Carol Danvers idea, although pretty much any female to rival the heavy-hitting men would be acceptable to me. Heck, they might even replace Hawkeye with a strong female hero to round things out even more.Jambehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06373677455129413039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-19730151454065864732012-05-12T19:23:28.300+10:002012-05-12T19:23:28.300+10:00And yes, the parody is wonderful ... thanks for le...And yes, the parody is wonderful ... thanks for letting us know about it.Russell Blackfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12431324430596809958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-63366329492364106552012-05-12T19:22:09.768+10:002012-05-12T19:22:09.768+10:00Some of the artists can't help themselves when...Some of the artists can't help themselves when they translate a scene into comic-book art (I actually like that image otherwise).Russell Blackfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12431324430596809958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-13929192094951246722012-05-12T19:11:39.675+10:002012-05-12T19:11:39.675+10:00Well, some official portrayals of here were overtl...Well, some official portrayals of here were overtly sexualized, e.g. this one (see also this hilarious parody of that image).Jambehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06373677455129413039noreply@blogger.com
