I'm having a smile at Blake's suggestions, but I think I'll pass on those, especially the one about dividing by zero.Russell Blackfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12431324430596809958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24761391.post-49467540786745695482007-01-12T13:22:00.000+11:002007-01-12T13:22:00.000+11:00I'm not a lurker, having posted an awful lot of ra...I'm not a lurker, having posted an awful lot of random things, but I figured I should say hello. Hello!

If you'd like to boost your readership numbers, well, I recall that Jason Rosenhouse and Mark Chu-Carroll both saw big spikes when they lucked upon a topic which had enough mass-net-appeal that they got Slashdotted or Digged (Dugg?). The story of the man who claimed he could divide by zero worked pretty well.

You could always try what David Brin tried and insult Star Wars or say that BASIC wasn't all bad.

Over in the physics blogosphere, you could get a sizable response by making any statement about string theory in a loud, clear voice. People might be getting burnt out by now, but if Clifford Johnson could get 326 comments in one thread alone, it may be worth a shot.

(Of course, I've already made my statement about the "String Wars": perhaps I've just read too much Pynchon, but I smell a conspiracy.)

There you go: another highly entropic, link-heavy comment. I must be in the middle of some serious procrastination.
